The Leap Into Sharing My Journey Online
The Struggle With Starting
A few months ago, if you told me I’d be recording myself and putting it on the internet, I would have laughed. I don’t love being on camera, and honestly, it felt a little cringey at first. But here I am, hitting "record" and sharing my thoughts with the world.
Why?
Because I realized that I’ve spent years learning, growing, and figuring things out the hard way—but I wasn’t documenting any of it. And if I didn’t start now, I’d look back and regret not capturing the journey.
So, I made a decision: 2025 is the year I stop overthinking and start doing.
That’s why I’m sharing my journey online. Not because I think I have all the answers, but because I want to show the process of learning, adapting, and growing in real time.
If you’ve ever thought about putting yourself out there but hesitated—whether it’s starting a blog, launching a YouTube channel, or even just sharing more on social media—I get it.
But let me tell you: starting is the hardest part.
Why YOU Should Document Your Journey
Whether you’re an entrepreneur, a creative, or someone who’s just trying to improve, there are three big reasons to start documenting what you’re learning:
1️⃣ Capture Growth in Real Time
Most people look back at their progress after they’ve "made it." The problem? They forget all the little moments, struggles, and insights along the way.
By documenting as you go, you build a timeline of your growth—not just for yourself, but for anyone who might find it valuable.
You don’t need to be an “expert” to share what you’ve learned. Some of the best advice I’ve ever received wasn’t from a guru—it was from someone just a few steps ahead of me.
Someone out there is where you were 6 months ago. The things you take for granted today might be exactly what they need to hear.
I’m not trying to be some internet guru.
That’s not my thing. I just want to put my experiences out there—the lessons, the struggles, the realizations. Maybe they’ll help someone else. Maybe they’ll even be valuable for my kids one day.
3️⃣ Build Credibility by Showing, Not Just Telling
Anyone can say they’re working hard and making moves. But when you consistently share your process, you prove it.
People trust action over words. They respect the person who puts in the work, fails in public, and keeps going.
If you’ve ever wondered, “Do I have anything valuable to share?”—you do. And the more you put yourself out there, the more you’ll realize it.
A Little About Me
👋 Hey, I'm AJ. I’m a husband, a father, and someone constantly trying to do better than yesterday.
🔹 16+ years in engineering – Chief Engineer & Project Manager
🔹 20+ years in nightlife – DJ, event coordinator, and problem-solver
🔹 Obsessed with personal growth – Learning, adapting, and leveling up
My career has been a mix of technical leadership and creative problem-solving. It’s given me a unique perspective on productivity, leadership, and getting ahead—not just in work, but in life.
Why Now?
Honestly? Because I hate being on camera.
I’ve put this off for too long, but I made a commitment: 2025 is the year of starting. No more waiting for the perfect moment. It’s time to just put the reps in and see where it goes.
More than anything, I want to connect with others—to share, learn, and grow together. If even one person gets value from what I share, it’s worth it.
What’s Next?
This is just the beginning. I’ll be sharing insights on:
✅ Personal & career growth – Lessons from 20+ years across industries
✅ Time & energy management – What actually works
✅ Leadership & mindset shifts – How to stand out and get ahead
If any of that sounds interesting to you, stick around.
